The Waltron 9096 Degas Cation Conductivity Analyzer delivers accurate measurement of specific, cation, and degassed cation conductivity with industry-leading degassing efficiency. The patented dynamic degassing module delivers actionable results in under 90 seconds, allowing operators to accelerate steam turbine start-up procedures and improve plant efficiency.
During the start up of a thermal power plant, the purity of the generated steam determines whether it can be sent to the steam turbine or if it has to be bypassed to the condenser. Traditionally “Cation Conductivity” instruments are used to analyze steam quality, but in addition to measuring harmful ionic compounds (e.g. Chlorides), they also include CO2, which is not significantly harmful to the steam turbine
